TRIVIA: Robert Young had been in plenty of movies before
Father Knows Best, but no one really knew him as a household
icon until he became a weekly fixture in our homes. After
that, he went on to another great series, Marcus Welby,
M.D.!
STORY: The trials and tribulations of the Anderson family,
residing in Springfield, USA. Jim Anderson, father of three
children, runs an insurance company, and typical episodes
concern his involvement in the problems faced by his wife
and children. The series is still seen in syndication. It
is hailed as one of the best domestic comedies available.
On May 17, 1977, NBC aired a 90-minute reunion episode which
reunited all the members of the cast.
